I keep telling myself this is the last time I'll ever walk away from a sacred ground. Found you sprouting - it was springtime - intercepting every script line. From desert to ice, I enter that cave every year to collect my tributary apprehension. I'm the disciple who never learns. You can see it through my gestures: in-between these stifled whispers I keep seeking understanding. From desert to ice, I enter that cave every year.

"Surface: oblivious solace". Backtracking on your guess I would have let this out. I would have claimed my kin. Tear down your teary eyes. The moisture in your sight was not trouble nor was bind. How can you be so blind? Ebb and flow, it's nature. How can you be so blind? How can you be so dry? Am I sinking too low saying this? Yes, I am. | But it's true. Reverse 03:31
Our bargain is gone, your hoax can be unearthed. My silent retreat, instead, won't reverse. A burial so sought I couldn't sleep. A mattress so in rot I couldn't breathe. All borders are gone but your hoax won't be unearthed.

about

Ghosts see us through the last printed photographs laying on our shelves. An orchestra plays in our memories; distant, in an undefined place. Scoring these memories of things we never saw nor touched.

The electroacoustic approach lies at the roots of the recording sessions, with the importance of sound to represent itself and nothing else. In order to mark the difference with folktronica we define this work as “digital folk”: if the first one takes the folk styles and sounds and filters them through synths, drum machines, etc., the second one focuses more on a digital conception of space, sounds and their movement within it.

Each song was in fact recorded with a portable device. The possibility of setting the microphones in different places allowed us first to capture unrepeatable moments circumscribed in a specific time and space, and second to combine them among each other, giving birth to a living ambience that lasts throughout the whole album.
It was important to us to research the context, giving it the same importance as the subjects of the recordings. We set every sound to be captured like they were field recordings, both written and improvised parts, to feel them closer to our vision on the nature of all things;

as they mutate relentlessly, up to their consumption, leaving only ghosts. Not just literal ones, but metaphorical too: people, events, memories stuck in one place and doomed to haunt it.
Everything in this album is a ghost or attune to this concept: unrepeatable sounds and moments, the stories told in the lyrics, even the people in these photos, watching us, are all dead by now.
The absence of a physical audio support is the album's ghost itself. Only memories endure, under the form of photographs and written pages.
